국제노령연맹(IFA), UN OEWG 회의
한국 노령화정책 옹호
카나다 토론토에 본부를 둔 국제노령연맹이 UN OEWG에서 한국정부의 노년정책 발표에 박수를 보냈다. OEWG은 뉴욕 UN 본부에서 4월 18일에서 21일까지 개최됐다.
한국은 아주 빠른 노령화를 맞고 있으며 저출산과 노령화에 대응하는 2차 5개년 계획이 실시되고 있다.

주명룡 대한은퇴자협회장은 2차 OEGW회의가 8월1일부터 5일까지 개최되며 국제노령연맹은 지속적으로 참여할 것이라고 말했다.
노령화관련 OEGW회의는 2010년 UN총회 의결에 따라 설치된 UN회원국들의 모임이다.
KARP(대한은퇴자협회)는 IFA회원단체로 주명룡 회장이 2003년부터 이사로 참여하고 있다.
IFA advocate Korean Ageing policy at OEWG, UN
IFA, International Federation on Ageing, based Toronto, Canada,
a global umbrella NGO for Ageing related civic organizations, advocated government's endeavor for the rights of senior citizens in Korea, at OEWG, UN, New York, April 18-21, 2011, KARP's President Myong Juch said today.
South Korea faces rapid population changes and the country is already in the second stage of implementing 5 year national project to fight and improve on birth dearth and ageing issues.

saying that further work will continue at OEWG, UN, in August 1-5 2011.
The OEGW on Ageing is a new UN working group that was
established by a decision made in a resolution at the 2010 UN General Assembly and participated by Member States.
